What exactly is ArthaShastra Jr.?
ArthaShastra Jr. is a financial literacy and character education program for children aged 6–14 years. We combine money concepts with values, life skills, stories, games, worksheets, role plays, and real-world situations.
Is this only about teaching children money?
No. Money is the medium—we are really teaching decision-making, discipline, gratitude, responsibility, resilience, and leadership. Our goal is to build financially wise human beings, not just financially literate children.
What age is the program suitable for?
We have three age-specific learning journeys:
- 6–7 years: Foundations through stories and play
- 8–10 years: Everyday money habits and responsibility
- 11–14 years: Banking, budgeting, investing, entrepreneurship, taxes, exploring careers
My child has never learned about money. Is that okay?
Absolutely. No prior knowledge is needed. Every concept is introduced in a simple, fun, engaging, age-appropriate way.
Will my child be learning calculations and complicated finance?
No maths calculations. We focus on helping children understand the why behind money through practical situations rather than difficult calculations.
Are the classes fun or academic?
Fun is our teaching strategy. Every session includes stories, games, discussions, creative challenges, movement activities, and real-life simulations to keep children actively engaged.
What makes ArthaShastra Jr. different from financial literacy courses?
Most programs teach money skills. We teach Values + Character + Life Skills + Financial Wisdom because sustainable success comes from all four working together.
How do worksheets help my child?
Our worksheets are reflection-based, not exam-based. There are no marks and often no single right answer—they help parents understand how their child thinks and reasons.
Will parents be involved?
Yes. Parents receive conversation prompts, family activities, and practical tools so learning naturally continues at home without added pressure.
What outcomes can I realistically expect?
Over time, parents often notice children becoming more thoughtful with spending, more grateful, more responsible, better at decision-making, and more confident in discussing money and life choices.
Are the classes online or offline?
ArthaShastra Jr. is designed primarily as an interactive online experience, allowing children to participate in games, role plays, and collaborative activities from anywhere.
Is this suitable for schools and educators too?
Yes. Our curriculum is designed for both families and educational institutions, making it ideal for schools, learning centres, and homeschooling communities.
