OUR STORY
Hi, I'm Chaitanya Reddy.
BA (Psychology) • MBA (Human Resources) • Montessori Certified Directress • Certified Children's Financial Literacy Educator
I founded ArthaShastra.Jr with one belief:
My background may not look like a traditional finance journey—but that's exactly what makes ArthaShastra Jr different. Psychology helped me understand how children think and make decisions. Montessori taught me that children learn best through exploration, not memorization. Financial literacy showed me that money is ultimately about choices, habits, character, and responsibility.
Together, these became the foundation of ArthaShastra Jr.
Why Financial Literacy?
I come from a business family where I often witnessed how money could become a source of both opportunity and stress. I realized something important:
The problem was rarely money itself. It was the lack of financial understanding.
Ironically, a few years ago many parents believed finance was too difficult—or even unnecessary—for children. Today, the world has changed. Digital payments, online shopping, UPI, investments, credit, and entrepreneurship have become part of everyday life.
Financial literacy is a life skill and an advantage.
Why I Teach Children :
I don't believe children need to become little accountants.
I am someone who believes that money should serve people—not stress them out. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to understanding personal finance, not just for wealth-building, but for life-building. I focus on real-world, practical finance—the kind that helps parents raise financially literate kids, and helps kids grow into financially confident adults. Children need to become wise decision-makers.
That's why every ArthaShastra Jr worksheet, activity, and class is built around real-life situations rather than definitions. Instead of asking children to memorize concepts, we help them think through questions like:
- What should I do with my pocket money?
- How do I plan for a goal?
- Why do we pay taxes?
- What happens when we borrow?
- How do entrepreneurs solve problems?
Children learn through stories, visuals, games, discussions, and hands-on activities because that's how meaningful learning lasts.
